Kurt Gutmann became an American citizen during World War II and after returning to Europe in 1945 wanted to repay America's kindness by exporting the highest quality European gold to the US, an extremely new venture for that time.  After years of growth, today's line includes chokers, bracelets, earrings, and other gold accessories in both 14KT and 18KT, and the Gemhancible Collection in mainly 18KT gold.
